Cheap Way To Get Rid Of Slugs In Your Garden

I'm tired of slugs eating the veg I'm trying to grow in my garden. Is there a cheaper alternative than the common products used to repel slugs?

You can buy cheap lager (supermarkets own brand which costs under 50p for a pack of 4) and pour some in an unused container placed outside in the garden. The slugs will get attracted to the smell of the lager and will drown in the fluid. You can then dispose of them.

You can cut a plastic bottle vertically in half to use for the slug trap instead of a proper container. For best results, place the trap under a sheltered area (or under two planks of wood joined together to form a V shape) as the slugs like the moisture and shelter it provides.
